UGSW is a catalogue of browser games. It carries no advertising and no analytics. Playing needs an account — a username and a password, nothing else — so that your pinned and recent games can be kept for you. The catalogue itself does not set cookies. Individual game files are third-party and may use their own storage or cookies; those choices are theirs, not the catalogue's.

Your account

A username and password are sent once to api.ugsw.fun when you sign in or register. The password is hashed with PBKDF2-SHA256 and a random per-user salt before it is stored; the plain password is never kept on the server or in the A random session token is stored on your device so you stay signed in, and a hash of that token is what the server keeps. Sessions expire after 30 days of not being used, or when you sign out. The saved library — up to 200 pinned and 8 recent game ids — and the progress each game keeps for you are the only other things stored with the account.

Game progress

Games are separate files served from this site, so each one keeps its own save in this browser. While you are signed in, game-sync.js copies that save to your account as you play and restores it when you open the game again, including on another device. The copy is the game's own local storage — usually a handful of keys holding levels, scores and unlocks — sent to api.ugsw.fun under your account and nothing else. It is capped at 900 KB per game, and games that keep their save in IndexedDB rather than local storage are not covered yet.

What is stored on your device

  • The theme you picked (ugsw:theme).
  • The catalogue search and scroll position (ugsw:view).
  • Up to eight recently played game files (ugsw:recent:<username>) and the last one opened (ugsw:last:<username>), kept per account.
  • Your session token and username (ugsw:auth), while signed in.
  • A copy of the account's pinned and recent games in IndexedDB (database ugsw), so the library is there before the network answers.
  • The last saved state of each game you have played, kept by that game and mirrored in ugsw:game:<username>:<game>.
  • The last YouTube search and result tab, the last proxy address, and recent Spotify items, if you used those tools (ugsw:yt, ugsw:proxy, ugsw:spotify).

This information stays on your device. You can remove it with the “Clear history” button in the catalogue's recently played section, or by clearing site data for this origin in your browser. Signing out drops the session token but keeps the local library until you clear it.

Network requests

The catalogue, stylesheets, and game files are loaded from this site. Typefaces are requested from Google Fonts, which receives that request. Individual game files may load their own assets from third-party services such as CDNs; those requests are made by the game, and those services receive the usual request information (IP address, user agent, requested URL) under their own policies.

The YouTube tool sends your query to the UGSW backend, which fetches YouTube's public results page. The proxy tool sends the address you enter to the same backend, which fetches that page and returns it. The Spotify tool sends searches and links to the backend, which may query Spotify's API or a public web index to resolve them. The AI tool sends the conversation you type — and any images you attach — to the same backend, which forwards them to the model provider to generate a reply; the site does not store the conversation or the images. The backend is served from api.ugsw.fun through Cloudflare. Video playback uses youtube-nocookie.com; Spotify playback uses open.spotify.com's embed. YouTube, Google and Spotify handle those embeds under their own policies.

The backend may be password-gated for the proxy, and it holds account records for this site. It does not set cookies; sessions are carried by the token described above. Requests to the backend are processed by Cloudflare and the service behind it under their terms.
